Abstract: African states on the frontiers of the fight against insurgents that appear to share ideological ideals with the Taliban may resolve to implement measures that hinder surprises. Boko Haram has launched attacks in Southern Niger which have claimed the lives of over a dozen soldiers. Comparatively, the presence of Rwandese forces in Mozambique that aid the latter’s army against the emboldened insurgence have yielded some results – reclamation of some areas in Delgado.
